Software Download Instructions for TCP/IP Applications

The following software is accessible on the System Office FTP Server and available for download and use on all VCCS college campuses:

• Remote Print Manager (RPM)

• QWS3270

• TCP3270

The software listed above can be downloaded using the following instructions:

1. Connect to the System Office FTP Server from any client configured with a FTP client.
2. Complete the logon procedure by entering the appropriate userid and password.
3. Set the file transfer type to IMAGE by entering “BINARY”.
4. Change the current directory on the FTP Server to “TELNET” for TELNET applications and “LPD” for print applications.
5. Change the current directory set in item #4 to the specific software product to be downloaded.
6. Enter “GET” and the appropriate file name and extension to copy the file to your local workstation.
7. Enter “QUIT to exit FTP session.
