Security in SIS is made up of several layers to include online security (application security), batch processes (process security groups), and reporting security (queries). Throughout the SIS system, accessibility and processes are controlled by the use of siscopyIDs (security profiles) permission lists and roles. SIS security controls the data customers are able to access while in the SIS system. It can also be used to secure the customers access to application panels, menu items, and actions.
